"The Good News" is about encouragement. Most of the news we see and hear everyday is really negative and quite depressing. Angie Austin reported that news for 22 years and now wants to share the positive things that are happening in our communities. It's sharing stories of hope and victory. Guests on the show are real people who have overcome obstacles in their lives and professionals who can offer advice and help to those struggling with a variety of situations.

Angie is a Colorado native and third generation graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication, psychology and anthropology. Angie worked 7-days-a-week at Boulder Community Hospital for 7 years to put herself through Fairview High School and college. Other educational credentials include studies with the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology program.
